Innsbruck

Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol in the heart of the Alps with 130000 inhabitants, is surrounded by picturesque mountain peaks. The most well-known attractions include the Golden Roof, the Imperial Palace and the Ambras Castle. Furthermore, the city and its surrounding areas offer excellent opportunities for sports all year round.

Innsbruck is an ideal place for hosting such a conference, as it is close to the construction site of the Brenner Base Tunnel, which will be the longest underground railway connection in the world. Currently, the exploratory tunnel is excavated and an excursion will be organised to the tunnel construction site.
